About

Fora is a flexible office provider catering to a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to large enterprises, offering both communal and membership-based workspace solutions. The internal team at Fora is actively involved in redesigning existing properties and engaging with clients. In partnership with Taiga and Insidesource, they have integrated a range of soundproof pods and booths into their London offices, enhancing privacy and acoustic comfort across multiple locations.

Location

Set within the historic King’s Cross Station, this beautifully restored Fora East Side workspace offers unbeatable access in one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. Surrounded by top restaurants, cultural landmarks, and major global companies, the building blends Victorian charm with modern design—making it a distinctive base for work and connection.

Process

Timeless and flexible solution

Located inside the historic King’s Cross Station, this workspace needed a modular, soundproof solution that would fit seamlessly within a protected architectural setting. Fora was looking to improve acoustic privacy and flexibility in a way that respected the original character of the building.

After an extensive research process, Fora chose Taiga for its timeless, minimal design and adaptable structure. The booths’ low profile, neutral aesthetic, and non-permanent installation made them a perfect match for a space where architectural sensitivity and flexibility were key. Their ability to be moved or reconfigured over time added to their appeal as a long-term solution.

Supporting different ways of working

At King’s Cross, the booths are used daily for phone calls, video meetings, private conversations, and focused individual work. Available on a first-come, first-serve basis, they provide members with accessible and comfortable spaces for quiet work within a busy shared environment.

The outcome

Benefits and feedback

Member feedback has been consistently positive, especially from those working in hybrid routines who value quiet, enclosed spaces. The booths have contributed to improved acoustic comfort and a sense of privacy within the busy, open-plan environment. For clients and members trialing the space, the ability to experience the booths before committing to built-in options is a clear advantage.

Impact and customization

Taiga’s booths have been adapted to suit the interior palette of the King’s Cross space, blending visual simplicity with functional performance. Their presence supports Fora’s broader design strategy—offering smart, modular solutions that complement the architecture without overwhelming it.
